AML / AMD Reclamation and Mitigation
For the past 25 years, the Mining & Reclamation group at Gannett Fleming has specialized in the reclamation of active and abandoned mine sites. Our projects have included all aspects of mining and mine related activities including, surface mines and quarries, deep mines, deep mine surface facilities, coal refuse disposal site areas, flyash disposal, and other associated support facilities. Gannett Fleming’s long-term involvement with the coal and industrial mineral industries, private individuals and organizations, as well as Federal and State agencies, and our active commitment to the beneficial use/reuse of organic wastes as soil amendments, make us uniquely qualified to specify and design reclamation projects on active and abandoned mine projects. Our team of engineers, geologists, and other scientists and planners are well qualified to develop sustainable plans which integrate active or abandoned mining and quarrying operations with specific end-use development goals. These services can include conceptual planning, feasibility analysis, public participation, design and specifications, permitting, and construction management. Specific areas of expertise include:
