Gannett Fleming has been engaged in the construction inspection of the rehabilitation, reconstruction, and replacement of bridges and the construction of new bridges for more than 60 years. Projects have ranged from the conventional construction inspection of structural concrete and steel superstructure rehabilitation, to the inspection of the jacking of superstructures, monitoring load transfers on member strengthening, monitoring repainting operations under new federal and environmental regulations, and the removal of hazardous and contaminated materials from construction sites. Our experience includes the full scope of bridge construction, from foundations to superstructure on a variety of project types – simple spans, multi-span viaducts, large-span river crossings, and specialty structures, including trusses and movable spans.
