Bowling for Books Event Collects 100 Books for University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children’s Foundation
The Pittsburgh Region Sports Committee, chaired by Dan Goncz, manager of municipal services for the firm’s Pittsburgh Region Environmental Engineering Division, hosted “Bowling for Books” on Saturday, April 12. This event was hosted in support of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) Children’s Foundation. In conjunction with an afternoon of bowling, employees and their families donated youth and young adult books. New books were distributed to patients of UPMC Children’s Hospital, and gently used books were distributed throughout the waiting and examination rooms of the hospital.
Through the generous support of Gannett Fleming employees, more than 100 books were collected.
