Punxsutawney “Relay for Life”
The 3rd Annual Punxsutawney “Relay for Life” Race for the Cure was held on July 14 in Barclay Square, located in Punxsutawney, Pa. L.G. Hetager Drilling, Inc. again sponsored “Shaffer’s Shufflers,” a team that consists of Hetager employee (Diana) Jean Reed and 14 others from the Grange Church of God. The team is named for Elaine Shaffer, who lost her battle to cancer on March 21, 2005.
All money raised at the event was donated to the American Cancer Society. “Shaffer’s Shufflers” raised $1,566.48, and the event raised more than $72,276.
