Adamski Volunteers in Nicaragua
Bob Adamski helped to build five ecostoves in Nicaragua. Ecostoves reduce the use of wood for fuel by 50 percent and improve indoor air quality in areas where the average per capita income is only $2,500 a year.
Bob and his wife, Janet, visited Nicaragua during a trip sponsored by El Porvenir, a not-for-profit organization that works to improve public health by providing safe water, sanitation, education, and reforestation. Bob is a former director of Water for People, an organization similar to El Porvenir.
