
Hricak Named Chief Marketing Officer

(Harrisburg, Pa.) Judy L. Hricak, CPSM, vice president, was promoted to chief marketing officer (CMO) of Gannett Fleming. Hricak is the first Gannett Fleming employee to hold this title, reflecting her efforts to develop and maintain a corporate marketing strategy that consistently and effectively promotes Gannett Fleming on a national and international basis. She is based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa.
As CMO, Hricak is responsible for coordinating and elevating the work of marketing and proposal management personnel from the firm’s more than 60 regional offices. She leads the development of strategies for penetrating target markets, market research, competitive intelligence, strategic marketing planning, and marketing campaigns. She also continues to serve as manager of the firm’s National Marketing and Business Development Practice, in which she ensures best marketing practices, develops standards for marketing literature and proposals, and preserves the integrity of the Gannett Fleming Brand.

During her 23-year career at Gannett Fleming, Hricak has been one of the chief architects of building a corporate marketing department and implementing strategic marketing plans to support business unit managers in achieving growth goals. Additionally, she is a thought leader behind a robust tool to manage the firm’s business development activities, forecast revenues, and measure proposal performance.
Hricak is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor of humanities in communications. She is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) through the Society for Marketing Professional Services and is the organization’s 2011-2012 National Certification Committee Chair.
Hricak has been a member of the national Engineering Excellence Awards Committee for the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) since 2005 and chairs the Awards Committee for the Pennsylvania member organization of ACEC.
As a result of her professional, industry, and community involvement, Hricak was named one of the 2012 Women of Excellence by the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg. She also has been recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s Best 50 Women in Business by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.
