
Brian J. Flynn Joins Gannett Fleming as Regional Highway Design Manager

(Orlando, Fla.) Brian J. Flynn, P.E., joined Gannett Fleming as regional highway design manager. Based in the firm’s Orlando, Fla., office, Flynn oversees Gannett Fleming’s highway planning and design initiatives across central and north Florida. He also provides business development, client management, staff supervision, and quality assurance/quality control services.
Flynn has more than 30 years of experience in engineering design and field construction. His areas of expertise include major and minor design projects for the Florida Department of Transportation and various counties and municipalities throughout the state. His dynamic portfolio of experience includes numerous roadway projects, from large design-build projects to small intersection improvements. Flynn is adept at roadway widening, milling and resurfacing, total reconstruction, safety improvements, intersection improvements, and miscellaneous design projects. “Brian plays a key role as we continue to grow our highway design group in response to the needs of our clients. We look forward to his important contributions to our statewide transportation initiatives,” said vice president and regional manager, Dan Hart, P.E.
A registered professional engineer in Florida and Georgia, Flynn earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida. He also maintains his Florida general contractor’s license. Active in professional associations, Flynn is a member of the Florida Engineering Society, Florida Design-Build Institute of America, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the American Society of Highway Engineers.
