
Peterson Named Northeast Director of Sustainability

(South Plainfield, N.J.) Teresa L. Peterson, P.E., C.M.E., LEED® AP, has been named director of sustainability for Gannett Fleming’s Northeast Region. She is based in the firm’s South Plainfield, N.J., office.
In this role, Peterson is dedicated to advancing sustainable design philosophies and ensuring the firm’s projects have the ability to reach the highest levels of sustainability. She is a member of the Gannett Fleming Corporate Sustainability Team and is responsible for leading the pursuit and acquisition of LEED-certified projects and guiding the firm toward achieving sustainability in internal and external operations.
Peterson is a certified municipal engineer by the New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers, LEED Accredited Professional, and a registered professional engineer. She holds a bachelor of science in systems science and engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. Peterson also is an active member of the North Jersey Water Conference, American Society of Civil Engineers, and American Water Works Association.
