(Harrisburg, Pa.) Gannett Fleming has been honored with a 2011 Preservation Achievement Grand Jury Award from The Preservation Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. The award celebrates historic preservation in the Philadelphia, Pa., area that impacts neighborhood revitalization and increases preservation education.

Gannett Fleming was recognized for its work involving the renovation of three Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority stations in Folcroft, Pa., Clifton Heights, Pa., and Morton, Pa. The renovations improved the stations’ aesthetics and energy efficiency levels and increased accessibility, passenger comfort, and safety for riders and employees, without compromising the historic significance of the stations.

The firm will receive the award at the alliance’s Preservation Achievement Awards luncheon, celebrated every May during Preservation Month. Approximately 600 attendees will gather to recognize the individuals, organizations, and 21 Grand Jury projects that exemplify extraordinary accomplishment in the field of historic preservation.

For more information, please contact Judy L. Hricak, CPSM at (717) 763-7211, ext. 2624 or via e-mail.
