
Elliott Honored with PMAA Award

Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm, announces that Jim Elliott, P.E., was honored with the Red Davis Award during the Pennsylvania Municipal Authorities Association’s (PMAA) 68th Annual Conference and Trade Show in Pittsburgh, Pa. The award, which is named for the late L.W. “Red” Davis who was a long-time PMAA secretary, has been presented annually since 1978 to an individual who has shown exceptional commitment to municipal authorities in Pennsylvania and to PMAA.
Elliott is a vice president in the Water and Wastewater Practice who works out of Gannett Fleming’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa. He has delivered engineering service and guidance to Pennsylvania municipal authorities for more than 36 years. His designs, studies, and professional counsel have assisted municipal authorities with providing quality water, wastewater, and solid waste management service.
The Red Davis Award recipient is recommended by PMAA associate membership and approved by the organization’s board of directors. The association represents more than 2,600 municipal authorities across the state and provides advocacy on governmental affairs issues, education and training, and group programs.
Elliott holds a bachelor of arts degree in physics from Grinnell College and a master of science degree in sanitary engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is an active member of PMAA, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Water Environment Federation.
