Ellis and Liskovich Named to AWWA Chesapeake Section Board
October 26, 2010
(Baltimore, Md.) Rachel A. Ellis and Sophia Z. Liskovich, P.E., were recently elected to the board of the Chesapeake Section of the American Water Works Association. Ellis will serve as chair elect and Liskovich will serve as a trustee.
Ellis, an associate in marketing and communications, is based in the firm’s Baltimore, Md., office. She has been an active member of the section since 2001, serving as newsletter editor, communications committee chair, trustee, secretary for the Tri-Association conference, co-chair of the local host Committee for ACE11 in Washington, D.C., assistant secretary and treasurer, and most recently as secretary and treasurer. Her position as chair elect will automatically advance her to section chair during the section’s 2011-2012 fiscal year, and she will remain a voting member of the board as past chair for its 2012-2013 year.
Liskovich, who works as a project engineer in the firm’s Baltimore office, has served for three years as the section’s water quality committee chair, where she rejuvenated a committee that had been inactive for several years. She successfully organized annual workshops that brought members from the regulatory, consultant, and utility owner communities together to discuss cutting edge developments in water treatment. As trustee, Liskovich will be a voting member of section’s board for two years.
