
Adamski Inducted into NYWEA Hall of Fame

(Locust Valley, N.Y.) Robert E. Adamski, P.E., BCEE, F.SAME, F.ASCE, has been inducted into the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) Hall of Fame. NYWEA is a statewide organization of leaders in water quality management.
A longtime member of the NYWEA Metropolitan Chapter, Adamski has been honored with the Hall of Fame designation for his active service, leadership, and outstanding contributions to the association. He recently completed three years of service as NYWEA’s delegate to the international Water Environment Federation (WEF) and was also presented the WEF Board of Director’s Award this year as well. Adamski’s induction took place at the NYWEA 82nd Annual Meeting held Feb. 1-3, 2010 in New York, N.Y.
Adamski serves as vice president of municipal infrastructure programs for Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Located in the firm’s Locust Valley, N.Y., office, Adamski is responsible for providing consulting assistance to municipal water and wastewater system owners in the areas of facility operations and maintenance and utility management.
Adamski is a registered professional engineer in New York and New Jersey, a board-certified environmental engineer, and is a fellow in the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Society of American Military Engineers. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the City College of New York.
