King’s Covered Bridge Rehabilitation Project Featured in WQED-TV Documentary

King's Covered BridgeGannett Fleming’s King’s Covered Bridge rehabilitation project in Somerset County, Pa., was recently featured in a new WQED-TV documentary called Invented, Engineered & Pioneered in Pittsburgh. Based in Pittsburgh, Pa., the WQED-TV series celebrates the accomplishments of Pittsburgh area pioneers, scientists, engineers, and inventors.

The documentary highlighted the King’s Covered Bridge rehabilitation project and featured interviews of Samer Petro and Justin Peaslee, structural engineers in the Morgantown, W.Va., office. Petro and Peaslee were involved in the restoration design for this 120-foot covered bridge that crosses Laurel Hill Creek in Somerset County, Pa.
