
Dawson Named to PMI’s College of Scheduling Board

(Los Angeles, Calif.) Rodney J. Dawson, C.M.C., has been elected to the Project Management Institute's (PMI) College of Scheduling board of directors as vice president, finance. The PMI College of Scheduling is the only worldwide organization dedicated solely to advancing the techniques, practice, and profession of project scheduling.
Dawson is a vice president and regional office manager for Gannett Fleming, Inc., an international planning, design, and construction management firm, and has been a member of PMI for 25 years. He has served the Institute at both the local and national levels, including 10 years of service on PMI’s national board of directors in a number of positions, including president and chairman of the board.
He oversees Gannett Fleming’s management consulting services, which provides clients with a full range of project services for capital program management, engineering and construction management, schedule and cost controls, contract administration, and project finance. Dawson also serves as the regional office manager of the firm’s Los Angeles office.
A certified management consultant, he holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering and a master of science in management from Imperial College of London University.
In addition to his involvement with PMI, he is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the Canadian Association of Management Consultants.
