
Veydt Named Vice President

(Pittsburgh, Pa.) D. Eric Veydt, P.E., was recently named a vice president with Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Based in the firm’s Pittsburgh, Pa., office, Veydt is the transportation manager for western Pennsylvania, providing a broad range of engineering services related to transportation projects.
With more than 26 years of experience, Veydt directs and coordinates transportation projects, including the preparation of environmental documents, public and agency presentations, and preliminary and final design plans. He is also responsible for the management of the Transportation Group, overseeing project staffing and personnel development.
A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Kentucky, Veydt holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of Highway Engineers, and the Pennsylvania Highway Information Association.
