Martinez Named Vice President

(Santa Fe, N.M.) Brenda K. Martinez was recently named a vice president with Gannett Fleming West, a New Mexico-based engineering corporation specializing in planning, design, and construction management. Based in the firm’s Santa Fe, N.M., office, Martinez is the environmental program manager responsible for business development, project management, and environmental planning.

With more than 17 years of experience, Martinez is well-versed with the mandates of federal, state, and local environmental policies and procedures, including the National Environmental Policy Act and the Council on Environmental Quality. Her technical expertise includes the preparation of environmental studies, including environmental assessments, categorical exclusions, and environmental impact statements.

Martinez is familiar with numerous environmental areas including air, noise, natural resources, and hazardous materials. She is experienced in working with governmental agencies including the Federal Highway Administration, New Mexico Department of Transportation, Arizona Department of Transportation, Bureau of Land Management, National Park Service, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, state land departments, and local municipalities and tribal affiliations in New Mexico and Arizona.

Martinez holds a bachelor of science in biology and a master of business administration.
