Gannett Fleming Raises $127,000 for the United Way
November 6, 2007
(Harrisburg, Pa.) Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm, raised more than $127,030 for the United Way of the Capital Region as a result of its annual campaign. This donation represents a 19 percent increase over employee giving last year.
The firm’s 2007 United Way Campaign was held companywide Sept. 27 through Oct. 26. Employees across the country made contributions via payroll deduction or e-Way, the United Way’s user-friendly and confidential online giving tool. Using this resource, employees could donate to the charity of their choice or forward a gift to their local United Way as determined by their zip code.
Special events at the firm’s corporate headquarters this year included a kick-off breakfast highlighting presentations by local United Way agencies, a sandwich sale fundraiser, and a basket raffle featuring prizes donated by local merchants.
“We are honored to have partnered with the United Way once again for this year’s campaign,” stated Ronald J. Drnevich, P.E., chairman and CEO of Gannett Fleming. “The United Way makes a positive impact in our neighborhoods across the country and offers important, cost-efficient, and effective ways to solve community problems.”
