Shadan Elected to California Transit Association’s Executive Committee

Kambiz (Kam) Shadan, P.E.(Mill Valley, Calif.) Kambiz (Kam) Shadan, P.E., was elected to the California Transit Association’s (CTA’s) 2007-2009 Board Executive Committee.

CTA provides legislative advocacy, member outreach, and educational support to its diversified membership of more than 200 individuals and organizations, ranging from local governments and industry suppliers to manufacturers and public transit operators. Shadan was elected as one of the two supplier representatives on the Board Executive Committee.

Shadan is a vice president with Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Based in the firm’s northern California office, he oversees mega transportation projects, as well as local mix-use development efforts. Shadan also serves as president of the Real Estate Development Division of the Gannett Fleming Project Development Corp. (GFPDC), an affiliate of Gannett Fleming.

With more than 30 years of experience, Shadan holds a bachelor of science in engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master of science in engineering management from the University of Santa Clara. He is a registered professional engineer, as well as a real estate broker and engineering and building contractor, in California.

Shadan is the member of the local board for the Forensic Expert Witness Association and the President of the Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California. He also serves on the Finance and Marketing Committee of the Marin County Work Force Housing Trust.
