Seip Named Electrical Design Group Leader

Brian A. Seip, P.E., LEED® AP(Harrisburg, Pa.) Brian A. Seip, P.E., LEED® AP, was recently appointed the electrical design group leader of Instrumentation, Control, and Electrical (ICE) Technologies, a group within the Facilities Division of Gannett Fleming. ICE Technologies provides technical and managerial support for the firm’s Transportation and Environmental divisions, as well as a broad range of technical services for private clients.

Based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., Seip coordinates the efforts of architects, as well as process, structural, and mechanical engineers. He oversees the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, roadway toll facilities, and commercial buildings. Seip also performs inspections of roadway tunnel and building electrical systems. 

Seip previously served as a project electrical engineer with the firm, in which he prepared plans, specifications, and cost estimates for medium- and low-voltage switchgear, communications, and distribution systems.

With more than nine years of experience, Seip is a registered professional engineer in 10 states. He is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Accredited Professional, demonstrating an extensive knowledge of green building practices and principles, in addition to familiarity with the LEED 2.1 rating system, requirements, resources, and processes.

Seip holds a bachelor of science in engineering from Messiah College and serves on the Messiah College Engineering Department Advisory Board. He is a member of the Building Industry Consulting Service International, Inc. and the Green Building Association of Central Pennsylvania.
