 (Phoenix, Ariz.) Nasir Raza, P.E., recently joined Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Based in the firm’s Phoenix, Ariz., office, Raza serves as the manager of the Hydrology, Hydraulics, and Infrastructure Planning Group.
With more than 23 years of experience, Raza oversees the technical direction, project management, and business development of water resources and infrastructure planning efforts. He directs the hydrology and hydraulics services provided for flood control and conveyance, transportation, land development, environmental, and structural projects throughout Arizona.
Raza’s area of expertise involves the preparation of infrastructure master plans, construction documents, and assessment of costs using a system he authored – the Infrastructure Assessment Model (IAM). This Web-based model is an interactive, computer-aided design and drafting (CADD), geographic information systems (GIS), and database system that presents vital project information in an easily accessible format for planning and appraisals.
Raza holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from NED University of Engineering & Technology and a master of science in civil engineering from the University of Iowa. A registered professional engineer in Arizona, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Arizona Floodplain Management Agency.
