(Harrisburg, Pa.) Gannett Fleming was recently recognized as a member of the United Way of the Capital Region Pillar Society. The Pillar Society honors companies who donated a combined corporate and employee gift of $100,000 or more to its 2005 annual campaign. Gannett Fleming was one of 18 companies in the Capital Region, encompassing Pennsylvania’s Cumberland, Dauphin, and Perry counties, who received the award during the United Way’s annual dinner on April 5.
Collectively, Gannett Fleming’s more than 50 regional offices raised $134,070 as part of a two-fold program to address both Hurricane Katrina relief efforts and the ongoing needs in local communities. The firm’s corporate headquarters has participated in the United Way Campaign for many years, raising more than $90,000 during its 2004 campaign.
