(Newton, Mass.) Peter A. Golonka was recently named a vice president and the regional office manager for the Newton, Mass., office of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm. Golonka previously served as a program and project manager with the firm.
With his recent promotion, Golonka is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Gannett Fleming’s Newton location. He focuses on business development, office administration, technical supervision of remediation work, and the management of environmental projects.
With more than 25 years of experience, Golonka has an extensive background in preparing cost estimates, providing technical support, and completing remedial investigations, hazardous waste cleanups, and feasibility studies. He has worked closely with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) at United States Department of Defense locations, Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) facilities, and former defense sites throughout New England.
Golonka holds a bachelor of arts in geology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a master of business administration from Northeastern University.
