Cook Named Director of New Construction Division

John W. Cook, Jr., P.E.(Harrisburg, Pa.) John W. Cook, Jr., P.E., was named director of the newly formed Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm.

Gannett Fleming’s Construction Division offers construction management, inspection, and observation services to transportation, transit, dams, and water and wastewater agencies.

Based in the firm’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., Cook directs the activities of more than 50 engineers, technicians, inspectors, and administrative personnel. With more than 25 years of experience, he focuses on expanding the firm’s construction management services into new markets. A vice president with Gannett Fleming, Cook previously served as the manager of construction management and inspection.

Cook holds a bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Clemson University and a master of business administration from York College of Pennsylvania. A registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Maryland, Cook is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Engineer School in Ft. Belvoir, Va.

Cook is a member of the Pennsylvania and National Society of Professional Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Construction Management Association of America.
