(Harrisburg, Pa.) Michelle A. Brummer, AICP, earned the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification through the American Planning Association (APA).
As the APA’s professional institute, AICP is an industry leader in promoting the ethics, professional development, and standards of the planning practice. To achieve the prestigious AICP accreditation, Brummer met strict educational and professional criteria and passed a comprehensive exam. She is now one of approximately 524 certified planners in Pennsylvania.
Brummer, who is based in Gannett Fleming’s corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pa., is an environmental planner. She conducts comprehensive and master planning studies, develops recommendations and action plans, and facilitates public involvement activities. Brummer also manages the work of the firm’s community planners in Harrisburg.
With more than nine years of planning experience, Brummer holds a bachelor of landscape architecture from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and a master of landscape architecture from The Pennsylvania State University. In addition to her involvement with APA, she is a member of the Pennsylvania Recreation and Park Society.
