(Pittsburgh, Pa.) Phillip M. Brown, AICP, recently joined the Pittsburgh, Pa., office of Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm, as manager of the Pittsburgh Planning Group.
As manager, Brown is responsible for overseeing planning professionals, developing new business, and participating in a wide range of planning projects. He prepares strategic, transportation, redevelopment, recreation, and corridor plans, in addition to writing zoning ordinances and preparing public involvement programs. The Pittsburgh Planning Group serves clients in western Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia.
With more than 13 years of planning experience, Brown specializes in the areas of comprehensive planning, economic development planning, real estate market and feasibility analysis, and ordinance development, as well as public involvement activities.
Brown holds a bachelor of arts in history from Williams College and a master of arts in urban and environmental policy from Tufts University. He is a member of the American Planning Association, the American Institute of Certified Planners, and the Pennsylvania Planning Association. Brown is certified as an Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) by the National Development Council.
