(Locust Valley, N.Y.) Robert E. Adamski, P.E., BCEE, recently became a Board Certified
Environmental Engineer (BCEE) through the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE). Adamski is the first employee to obtain the BCEE accreditation at Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design, and construction management firm.
Founded in 1955, AAEE is dedicated to improving the practice, elevating the standards, and advancing the cause of environmental engineering. Its BCEE accreditation recognizes superior professional achievements. To become Board Certified, Adamski successfully passed an oral exam and demonstrated extensive professional experience and credentials.
Adamski serves as vice president of municipal infrastructure with Gannett Fleming. Based in the firm’s Locust Valley, N.Y., office, Adamski provides professional consulting services to municipal water and wastewater system owners in the areas of facility operations, maintenance, and utility management.
A retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve, Adamski is both a member and Fellow of the New York City Post of the Society of American Military Engineer and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). He serves as a delegate for the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) to the Water Environment Federation and is a member of the American Water Works Association.
Adamski’s professional achievements have been recognized with numerous awards, including the NYWEA Public Education Award, the Association of Dominican Engineers and Hermandad’s Humanitarian Award, and ASCE’s Government Civil Engineer of the Year Award.
