(Miami, Fla.) Gannett Fleming, an international planning, design,
and construction management firm, recently appointed Robert
T. McMullen as director
of environmental services. Based in the firm’s
Miami office, McMullen previously served as a senior environmental
project manager.
As director of environmental services, McMullen will oversee and
provide a broad spectrum of environmental services for a variety
of projects in the South Florida area, the Caribbean Basin, and Latin
America, including ecosystem restoration and transportation related
projects. He has more than 18 years of experience in the environmental
sciences, preparing all types of National Environmental Policy Act
documents (NEPA), providing geographical information system (GIS)
services, and supporting Florida’s Efficient Transportation
Decision Making (ETDM) Process.
McMullen has conducted numerous NEPA studies and reports, including
wetlands, endangered species biological assessments, air quality
screening models, marine benthic surveys, and extensive public involvement.
He has performed wetland delineations and developed mitigation plans
to offset unavoidable wetland impacts associated with various large-
and small-scale projects. McMullen’s experience also includes
the permitting of various transportation and private development
projects, including soft and stony coral relocations in marine coastal
zones.
McMullen holds a bachelor of science in biology from the University
of Miami and a master of science in environmental sciences from Florida
International University. He is a member of the Society of Wetland
Scientists and the South Florida Association of Environmental Professionals.
