Gannett Fleming recently awarded scholarships to family members of two employees.
Hannah Kohler, daughter of Drew Kohler based in Gannett Fleming's corporate headquarters in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Hailey Clark, daughter of Kristi Clark, also based in Harrisburg, were selected as winners of the 2014 Gannett Fleming Scholarship Program. Each student will receive $2,000 toward her education.
Hannah graduated from Dallastown Area High School in Dallastown, Pennsylvania, in June 2014 and plans to attend The Pennsylvania State University's Schreyer Honors College in University Park, Pennsylvania, to pursue a degree in Secondary English Education. Hailey, a 2014 graduate of Cedar Cliff High School in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, will attend McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland, where she plans to study molecular biology.
The Gannett Fleming Scholarship was created to recognize the children and grandchildren of the firm's employees who show exceptional leadership and character. The winners were selected by a panel of non-partisan judges based on their answers to two essay questions, their most recent school transcripts, involvement in community and extracurricular activities, and letters of recommendation.
